With over two decades of experience the owner settled in Scottsdale area in 1999 to offer custom decorative painting that was of a higher caliber than what is normally seen in Maricopa county.

The owner has strived to create a business that separates itself from the laid back approach most other valley faux finishers take towards their work. The name East Coast Custom Faux Finishing pays homage to the strong understanding to the technique and permanence learned from working in homes sometimes hundreds of years old.

The owner has been using his Bachelors degree from a highly respected east coast school of the fine arts and his study abroad in Rome, Italy to create and refine hand made glazes for several decades. Using contemporary ingredients to recreate the glazing style of classical European painters ECCFF creates more of an atmosphere with our multi-layered transparent glazes, something that can only be appreciated when seen in person. Our work is highly customized to each client and a range of hand made finishes is available from smooth to rough and any where in between.

Beware of unlicensed contractors. Maricopa County faux finishers are known for giving low initial prices only to raise them for the final bill. We are fully licensed and answer to the state Register of Contractors. So you can be assured that the prices given during the initial consultation will remain unchanged.

When hiring a licensed contractor you know the people who work in your home must pass requirements and the work you receive is insured and held to a higher level of standards than unlicensed contractors. The prices other faux finishers offer may be lower but be sure to ask for their Arizona ROC license number. In the past few years in Arizona there has been a large amount of unlicensed contractors doing incompetent or incomplete work and leaving the state or just disappearing. If you hire a licensed contractor any disputes will be settled and losses recouped even if the contractor leaves the state of Arizona.
